3 bedroom farmhouse to rent, Limousin

Limousin Farm House For Rent

Lovingly renovated stone farmhouse had been abandoned for 40 years before the owner began their tasteful, traditional renovation project. Their family home on the very edge of a small hamlet at the end of a no-through road, leading to woods & common land is looking for new owners who enjoy the peace & quiet of rural life, nature & wildlife, gardening & walking or mountain biking.

Waking up to the sounds of birds, sipping wine on the wisteria covered pergola patio, cooking sumptuous suppers on the 1930's wood-burning stove, collecting blackberries from the hedgerows & mushrooms from the woods in Autumn- not simply a dream, it could be your reality!

Follow the link for more info, photos and direct contact with the owners of this 3 bedroom farmhouse for rent in the Limousin, France.

Zurker, A Social Network Owned By It's Members :)

Ok so this is not entirely to do with brewing but as brewers like to share on forums, twitter etc there is some relevance especially as social networks are becoming increasingly greedy and spammy.
Social Network Owned By It's Members
Having become very tired of the spam and bloat of facebook and constant battery of advertising, personal data use and other less obvious concerns, I have decided to keep a very close eye on new social networking site Zurker. Since the name first started cropping up on blogs, Tweets and stumbles earlier this year, there has been growing speculation and interest in the startup and it's continuing to grow.
The name Zurker at first struck me as a bit crap really but having now had a look around I can safely say that I am fascinated by it. Here’s why:
Zurker is owned by the members - me and, if you accept my invite and invite your friends,  you!
Here's your invite to Zurker.
To begin with, you have to be invited to become a member which gives it an element of exclusiveness and this in itself is not a new idea (Pinterest for example) but this does show you that Zurker wants their members to be serious about signing up.
They promise that all investment will come from the members in the form of vShares.
By inviting friends to join the network you earn a vShare. These don’t count as real shares until Zurker becomes a publicly traded company but it’s still a pretty good start and further incentive for members to put some time and effort into treating Zurker as a serious but still fun way to share with the important people in your life. You can also build networks with other people who share interests, hobbies etc - very similar to Google+ circles.
It's obvious Zurker wants you to refer as many friends as you can so that you get more shares, they don't hide this fact and there's a reward for doing so. How many friends invite people to use apps on FB for example, only to get nothing other than useless farmville credits but by doing that, send more revenue to the app developers.

On the subject of openess, Zurker also publishes it's revenue and out goings etc as Open Books for all to see, another bold move.

Encouraging people to invite new members allows the social network to expand, the bigger the better. You can also purchase vShares from as little as 1 euro (in my case) which at the moment is about £0.80 GBP or $1.29 (at today's exchange rates)... Not a lot considering the potential returns.
I am captivated by the idea of this startup and already set up my account.  I'm sick of social networks getting richer and richer by using our personal information and not giving a hoot about our privacy. It’s time for a big change in social networking and this could be just that.
You can find me on Zurker, sign up and say hi :)

FAQs - How Do I Add A Listing?

The first stage is to create your free user account.

This account is not your listing, this is purely the starting block that gains access to the website system. Look at it as a basic profile page for you, yourself - not your property. The content you add to this page eg a photo and some descriptive text is not about your property, it's about you and is not immediately viewable on the website. Once you have a listing up and running there is a tab displayed in the listing for visitors to see your profile as the owner or agent of the property.

To add a listing you must first decide on a listing option, displayed as a series of check boxes on your account welcome page (the page you see when you first log in, accessed via the Control Panel link in the main (blue) side menu).

Having chosen a suitable option, you must then purchase the option by using the Add Money link.

You will see a small box in which you can type the amount you want to add to your account - please note funds are deducted from your account monthly (more on which later) so unless you are sure you want to add sufficient funds to cover several months just enter the figure for one or two months. Generally, refunds will not be issued on overpayment, there are several stages before payment is final offering the opportunity to spot an error.

Having entered the amount, click on the Submit button below the box.

You will then be directed to a secure PayPal page. You do not need a PayPal account, payments using credit or debit cards can also be made via the secure server.

Either sign in (if you have a paypal account) or choose the pay by card option in the box below the login area. It'll say something like "Don't have a PayPal account?" and below it will be a link to pay by credit or debit card.

PayPal uses a secure server and all of your information you enter is encrypted for security. LetsRentPropertyInFrance.com at no time has access to your PayPal or card details.

After you have completed the payment stages on PayPal you will be shown a success message and re-directed back to LetsRentPropertyInFrance.com where you will again see a Success Message.

As the system is still very new (at time of writing 18/04/12) user accounts have to be credited manually by me upon receipt of a PayPal Payment Received Notification. This is not ideal but please, rest assured that if you have received a payment made email from PayPal, I will have also received a copy and will add the funds to your account. Depending on the time of day or night this might be a few minutes or a few hours.

It is still much faster than the old system but my aim is to have the credits appear in your account immediately the payment process is completed successfully.

PAYMENTS BY CHEQUE

If you do not have access to PayPal or a debit card or you prefer to use a cheque it is possible for me to add the funds directly to your user account however it is very slow and will incur a small handling charge.

To pay by cheque, please contact me for payment address details.

Your Account Balance, Automatic Monthly Deductions.

If you select the Automatic Deduct Monthly (check box below the listing package list - see the picture at the bottom of this article) option to continue your listing each month automatically then the value of your chosen package will be taken from your account balance each month.

NOTE This does not mean your credit card or PayPal account will be deducted, it means your user account must hold sifficient funds to ensure monthly payments can be made. If the account balance is lower than the package fee you will receive an automated email informing you and asking you to top up your account. Should the time period pass without payment will listing will no longer be shown on the website. Your listing will not be deleted from your account and will re-activate when you add the required funds to your account.

As ever, if you have any questions, please just contact me.

Steve.

New Website Up & Running

After almost three months of very hard work (poor me) I am very happy to announce the launch of the new LetsRentPropertyInFrance.com

Property Owners
You can now create a free user account either as an owner or as an agent if you handle several properties. You can then choose a suitable listing package, now payable monthly rather than yearly and quickly upgraded or downgraded to suit your budget.

The new listing packages offer a wider range of features than previously available and can be compared against each other on the compare rental property listing packages page.

Property Seekers
You can also create a free Property Seeker account which will enable you to take advantage of our features that allow you to add properties you find to a favourites list and then compare them against each other to help you decide. You can also submit a rating and leave a review depending on your experience with the property owner and your subsequent stay in the property.

I am still in the process of transferring existing listings from the old website and have many owners to contact with the upgrade news but I'm getting there...

Watch this space for more updates.

You can access the latest property listings and help guides, FAQs posted on the site over in the right hand column ---------- >

Upcycled Bags Handmade In France

Ok so this is nothing to do with property in France but it is France related as we live there. My wife, Sarah (nickname Saz) has been making her own hand bags, messenger bags etc for a while now using recycled materials. She's had such a great response from friends, family and friends of friends that she has launched her own online shop, SazBags with Etsy.

Example: upcycled denim messenger bag with floral interior

The bags are really well made and I have been totally amazed with how great looking they are, Sarah really does have a gift indeed.

Anyway, why not pop and have a look. They're great value and would make nice gifts. Here's a link...
